Subject: One India Plan of BSNL & MTNL is a mockery
The proposed One India Plan of BSNL & MTNL is a mockery as it makes use of telephone comparatively expensive.
As an example, take the case of a person making 1,000 unit calls
(STD calls are measured as multiples of local calls)
in a two-months period.
Now he pays Rs 1,340/-
(100 free calls+300 calls @ Re 1, 400 calls @ Rs 1.10 and 200 calls @ Rs 1.20 each
and Rs 360 rent for two months) exclusive of tax.
Under the proposed OneIndia scheme, he will have to pay Rs 1,598/-
(Rs 598 rent for 2 months and Rs 1,000 for 1,000 calls @ Re 1/-each) exclusive of tax.
It is ridiculous that rent is being increased and free calls disallowed.
