Getting Started with Purplenova

Purplenova means Gigabytes of Secure hosting space for free… under your control

How much you host is only limited by the size of your disk space.

We believe everyone should be freely able to contribute to the web to the extent they want.
Our software is free to download, use and distribute.

Start Purplenova.

To Host, simply right-click your files in Windows Explorer and select 'Host' OR Drag-n-drop files into Purplenova.
To Unhost, simply right-click on hosted files in Windows Explorer and select 'Un-Host' OR select files in the Purplenova window and hit "unhost".

You can host any number and any type of files

You specify content files to host: privately or publicly.

Your audience uses a regular web browser (like IE or Firefox) to view/download/stream hosted content.
People DO NOT get access to your PC at all. They cannot modify files on your PC in any way.
You are in full control of hosted files, and only the files you explicitly select for hosting are accessible.
If you want added security and choose to encrypt your transmissions, file contents are transmitted encrypted end-to-end using SSL.
There is no limit to number of files you can host, but in the interest of good user experience, we have kept a 10 MB limit to individual file size for now.
